Boat Trip from Ibiza to Formentera: How to Choose and How the Day Works
There are three ways to get from Ibiza to Formentera by sea: the ferry, a catamaran excursion or a sailboat trip. All three get you to the island, but the day is very different. Here's how they compare, and how the Mas Que Nada Sailing trip works, with real times and prices.

Ferry, catamaran or sailboat?
- Ferry: takes you to La Savina port. From there you reach the beaches on your own, by land. Best if you want to explore the island independently.
- Catamaran excursion: large boats, often with many guests, music and a bar on board. A good fit if you want a party day.
- Sailboat: few guests, sailing when there's wind, and anchoring right off the beaches. The choice if you're there for the sea rather than the party.
How the sailing trip works
- Departure from Cala Jondal, Ibiza, around 11:00; back around 18:00
- Ibiza–Formentera crossing of about 1h15, depending on wind and sea

- At Ses Illetes you have roughly 14:15 to 16:15: swim or have lunch at a beach restaurant
